Ayla Borglund
Ayla joined CERN’s Knowledge Transfer group in January 2025 as a Knowledge Transfer Officer, working in the Business Development Section. Before this, she was a Junior Fellow in CERN’s Engineering Department, where she managed intervention coordination and developed data analytics tools to enhance the efficiency of planning interventions in the accelerator complex.
Before coming to CERN, Ayla worked across various industries, including healthcare software, data analytics, and industrial operations. At iCure, a startup providing BaaS solutions for managing sensitive medical data, she led the development of a console designed to facilitate seamless backend integration with clients. Earlier, at Axis Communications, Ayla gained extensive experience through their graduate program, rotating across departments such as Business Intelligence and Supply Chain Management, before taking on a role as Project Manager.
Ayla holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Lund University, Sweden, where she specialized in Biomechanics.
